Important Reminders
- Do not add food waste directly into the machine without the bin installed in the unit.
- Do not open the unit during a cycle. Do not put your hands inside the unit unless it has completely finished cycling and has gone through all the cycle modes.
- Do not keep opening the machine during the cycle process. Every time you open the machine, the process will resume back to the first stage.
- Turn off and unplug the unit prior to opening the lid.
- Keep the appliance and power cords out of reach of children.
How to Use
- Plug in unit to start (220V)
- Open the unit and load waste into the provided waste bin. The maximum level is indicated by a line at the bin’s interior.
- POWER and CLEAN buttons will remain lit for fifteen (15) seconds in STANDBY mode to give users ample time to select between POWER or CLEAN function.
- To start composting, press the “POWER” button once. A beeping sound will be heard and the unit will automatically proceed to “DRY”. The indicator light for this function will also turn on.
- After the Drying stage, the unit will automatically switch to “GRIND” mode. The indicator light for this function will also turn on.
- After the Grinding stage, the unit will automatically switch to “COOL” mode. The indicator light for this function will also turn on.
- After the Cooling stage, the unit will automatically switch to “UV-C STERILIZE” mode. The indicator light for this function will also turn on.
- When the composting process is finished, the unit will sound off with five (5) beeps and the POWER indicator lamp will blink five (5) times.
- Then, the unit will automatically switch to STORAGE mode.
- Open the lid to check compost and take out the bucket if compost is ready to be transferred to another container.
- Storage mode will continue operation unless you unplug the unit.
- Plug in unit to start (220V)
- POWER and CLEAN buttons will remain lit for fifteen (15) seconds in STANDBY mode to give users ample time to select between POWER or CLEAN function.
- Press the “CLEAN” button until you hear the beep and the POWER button switches off. CLEAN and UV indicator lights will turn on. UV indicator light will remain blinking during the process.
- When cleaning is finished, the unit will sound off with five (5) beeps and the CLEAN indicator lamp will blink five (5) times.
- Then, the unit will automatically switch to STORAGE mode.
- After composting or cleaning, the unit will automatically proceed to “STORAGE” mode. While in Storage Mode, the unit’s fan is still running and the UV-C lamp is still turned on.
- Stir the compost intermittently to prevent it from rotting.
- The UV button will remain blinking when unit is in Storage Mode
How to Maintain
- Wipe down the unit’s exterior with a soft damp cloth
- Remove excess moisture with a soft dry lint-free cloth
- With particularly stubborn grime, you can add a small amount of dish soap to the cloth.
- Do not immerse your unit in water or liquids. This will damage your unit and may cause electric shock.
- Remove the bucket from the unit
- Remove all blockages and loose particles from the bucket.
- Wash the bucket thoroughly with warm water, a small amount of dish soap and wipe it with a dish cloth after
- Allow the bucket to completely air dry before placing it back in the main unit
- Replace every 6 months
- Effectiveness varies depending on frequency of use and types of organic materials being processed
- Do not vacuum or wash the activated carbon filter
